Family Time

Everyone knows that busy schedules can sometimes cause us to lose sight of what it most important. This afternoon, my cousin had his fifth birthday party. It reminded me how much young kids look up to those around them. I took the opportunity to talk to them about bullying, but also knew to step back and enjoy our time together. Below are some pictures I wanted to share.

Guadalupe Youth Sports League

GYSL is a wonderful sports league hosted in Marion, Texas. Today, children as young as pre-k played basketball games on teams against one another. Starting at a young age gives kids a hobby while keeping them active, and it was blatantly obvious to me that they progress as they grow older.

Stop Bullying Now

Stop Bullying Now is a wonderful website for both kids and adults. My niece, who has suffered from bullying personally, found it really interesting. Not only do they have videos and games for kids to enjoy, it also helps cope with bullying and teaches strategies to handle it. Adults can use the website to get information on bullying, and even find ways they can help out as well.

Remembers, 5.7 million children are affected by bullying. Your awareness can help make a difference!
